| rotation that way. Couple of things come to mind: If you had the plugs out, it makes it easy to turn the crank, so the crank could turn a little like wilkendw said. It's not easy to turn the cams, so it would be tough to FEEL if you hit anything during rotation. That said, I hope wilk was right in saying that maybe the piston moved a little to prevent a valve from breaking. If you rotate the crank, it's obvious if you're hitting a valve. Did the teeth count check out?
